HOW LONG DOES RF MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT TAKE?
The length of the treatment depends on the individual’s needs. Typically, patients will need 60-90 minutes for topical numbing and 30-60 minutes to complete the procedure.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
Our RF microneedling devices are versatile. They can be used on any area of the body that can benefit from collagen renewal. The most common areas include the lower face and neck, abdomen, and love handles. Areas with acne scarring or stretch marks can also be treated with RF microneedling.
WHAT IS RECOVERY LIKE AFTER TREATMENT?
RF microneedling is a non-invasive procedure so there is minimal downtime or recovery. Most people return to work the day after their treatment. Post-treatment, you may see pinpoint bleeding from the needles. This should only last for a few minutes. Your skin will be red and feel hot like it is a bit sunburned for up to one week. Swelling around the treated areas can occur but should be resolved within a day or two. A good moisturizer and a broad-spectrum sunscreen are recommended. We can also use a Microcurrent Mask immediately after the procedure to reduce redness.
IS RF MICRONEEDLING PAINFUL?
With topical numbing, the procedure is relatively painless even with the deeper penetration of needles. The needles used are very sharp and fine, allowing the benefit of puncturing your skin without the feeling of any tugging or pulling. When the procedure begins, you might feel a slight prickling sensation followed by a feeling of warmth as the needles pass over your skin. The advanced technology of our devices provide controlled and consistent heat delivery allowing for uniform treatment and results.

Dr. Segura attended top-tier UCLA as an undergraduate, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology. She continued to attend medical school at the renowned David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. After completing medical school, she received General Surgery training at UC Davis in Sacramento, California.
